First of all, I want to give credit where credit is due. Sylvia's nephew James has his blog on this site, and I thought, WOW, this is really cool. Now, I know I will never be as accomplished at building this site as he is, but I'll give it a shot. This will be a real learing experience for me, and you know what they say about teaching an old dog new tricks.

Before we begin, I want to give special thanks to some very special friends that were always there for Sylvia during her Breast Cancer and Colorectal Cancer. Friendships like these could never be thanked enough. To Al and Yvonne Wagner and Sandra and Allen Nelson, April and David Senecal, thanks could never be enough for your love and devotion during the most trying time of our lives. We love you and thank you for your love and friendship.

These next pix I took at Deer Lodge Montana. The park was open, but no one was there but us. As you can see, it's on the honor system.

These next two were at a rest area in Lookout Pass, passing from Montana into eastern Idaho. It was so nice to be back into the western Rockies again.

This is where we stayed while visiting my Mom and Sister. They live in Yakima Washington. We stayed in this park about 15 miles away in the town of Toppenish. I graduated from high school here. Toppenish sits in the middle of the Yakima Indian Reservation. In the background you see the Yakima Nation Cultural Center. And yes, as you may guess, they even have their own Casino! Ya know, sometimes it pays to be old. We went to the casino one day and got a free bufet lunch and a lot of free stuff. We spent Thanksgiving with my Mom and my sister and her family. Oh, and my nephew Brian came over from Moses Lake also. It was great to be able to spend the holiday with my family again.

Sylvia took these pix as we traveled over Snowqualmie Pass from the Yakima Valley to the Seattle area. We were headed toward the coast. We stayed for three days in Elma Washington. We were going to spend two, but a severe storm was coming in with 100 mph winds and tons of rain, so we stayed put for an extra day.
